The pie chart illustrates where dance classes are located in one Australian town. The horizontal bar chart gives data on the type of the aforementioned dance classes young Australians are currently participating in.
There are four major locations for these dance classes. Private studios comprise almost half of all locations (48 percent). Standing at the second step are school halls, which in essence are halls used after the conventional school hours, occupying roughly a quarter of locations. Thirdly are community halls and other at 18%, standing not far from he least section, i.e. college-based studios at exactly 10 percent.
Concerning the bar chart, it is evident that ballet and tap dance are more popular among the 11-year-olds and younger, whereas modern dance appeals to 11 to 16-year-olds. There are almost 600 students under 11, doubling the older age group. Conversely, about 300 students aged 11 or younger gravitate towards modern dance, that is almost half the participants of the older age group. Tap dance is almost the same at around 420 students with a small margin in favor of the under 11 age group.
