Feedback:

Thank you for writing this report. While the report identified key trends, the overview could be clearer, and some details are inaccurate or repetitive. The organization lacks smooth transitions, and vocabulary is somewhat limited, with frequent repetition of words like "starting" and "production". Additionally, grammar mistakes, awkward sentence structures, and spelling errors lower the clarity and fluency of the response. To improve to Band 6.5 or higher, focus on writing a concise and well-structured overview, using a wider range of academic vocabulary and linking words, and ensuring grammatical accuracy with correct verb tenses and sentence structures.

The 5.5 sample upgraded to 7.0+

The graph illustrates the production levels of three main fuels—petroleum, natural gas, and coal—in the UK between 1981 and 2000, measured in energy units.
Overall, petroleum remained the dominant energy source throughout the period, despite some fluctuations, while natural gas production increased steadily. In contrast, coal production declined significantly over time.
Between 1981 and 1984, petroleum output surged from 90 to 140 energy units, before experiencing a gradual decline to approximately 100 energy units by 1992. However, production recovered from 1992 onwards, reaching around 140 units again by 2000. Meanwhile, coal production initially stood at 80 energy units but dropped sharply to 40 units by 1984, followed by minor fluctuations before settling at around 39 units in 2000.
In contrast, natural gas production followed a consistent upward trend. From 1981 to 1990, it remained relatively stable at around 40 units, but from 1990 onward, production rose significantly, surpassing 80 units by 1996 and continuing to increase steadily toward 100 units by 2000.
In summary, while petroleum production fluctuated, natural gas saw substantial growth, and coal output declined consistently over the two decades.
