The 5.0 sample upgraded to 7.0+

The bar chart illustrates the number of male and female students enrolled in six different categories of art subjects at a university in the UK in 2011. Overall, it is evident that females outnumbered males in five out of the six categories, with Art and Design being the exception where more males were enrolled.
The most popular subject among both genders was English Language and Literature, with 250 female students and 225 male students. This category had the highest enrollment for both genders. In contrast, the least popular subject for males was Philosophy, with only 50 enrollments, whereas the lowest female enrollment was in History and Archeology, with slightly over 100 students.
Interestingly, the enrollment figures for Linguistics and Communication and Media Studies were quite balanced between the genders. In these categories, the numbers of female students were almost equal to those of their male counterparts, showing only minor differences.
In stark contrast to the overall trend, Art and Design saw a higher number of male students, with 200 males compared to 175 females. This was the only category where male students outnumbered females by 25.
In summary, while female students generally dominated in most art subjects, Art and Design was an outlier with a higher number of male enrollments. This indicates varying preferences between genders in different art disciplines.
