    Candidate’s Response:

    Dear Sarah,

I hope you are doing well. I have some questions about the job opportunities in Netherland and I think you can help me since you have been living there for 6 years.

There are a lot of job opportunities in different cities of Netherland especially in Amsterdam. Since there is an economic crisis in my country I would like to immigrate to a developed country such as Netherland. I believe that I can establish a good life there with my family.

I am an experienced web designer who has hands on code for about 8 years.  I have done several projects in both public and private sectors for different organizations which they have been explained with details in my resume.

I want to know a bit more about the advantages of working in Amsterdam. I wonder if it is possible for me to work remotely or not. I also want to know about the average salary for a web designer. Please let me know if there are other merits that I have not mentioned such as pension pay or health insurance.

Waiting for your response and give my best to your family.

    Love,

    Assessor’s Comment

Thank you indeed for writing this letter. Task Achievement (TA):The letter addresses the main topic but does not fully cover all aspects of the rubric, particularly in terms of detailed inquiries about salary and working hours.

Coherence and Cohesion (CC): The letter is well-structured, with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. The transition between different topics is smooth. However, consider using more varied transitional phrases to enhance flow and coherence.

Lexical Resource (LR): Your vocabulary is appropriate and effectively communicates your ideas. Terms like "economic crisis," "immigrate," and "remote work" are well-used. However, you could use a wider range of vocabulary to describe your professional skills and experiences.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy (GRA): Your grammar is mostly correct, with a good range of structures. Be cautious with minor errors, such as "hands on code for about 8 years," which would be more grammatically correct as "hands-on coding experience for about 8 years." Also, pay attention to the use of articles, such as "the Netherlands" instead of "Netherland."

    Hey Alex,
I hope this message finds you well! I've been contemplating the idea of exploring job opportunities in your country and thought you might have some valuable insights to share. The prospect of working there intrigues me primarily because of the diverse professional landscape and the chance to immerse myself in a new cultural environment.
Regarding my qualifications, I come with a solid background in front-end programming and have worked in a tech company for 5 years, which I believe could be relevant and beneficial in securing a job in your country. I'm keen to understand more about the job market there—specifically, the average salary range and typical working hours in your field. Any tips or pointers on companies hiring expats would be immensely appreciated.
Your advice and guidance would mean a lot to me as I navigate this potential career move. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
