Candidate’s Response:

While it is widely argued that violence is increasing at an alarming rate in each society, the demand for watching criminal movies and reading crime-related stories has been raised. Many city dwellers have a keen sense of adventure to watch and read crime-related products. In this following essay, I will state my reasons regarding the popularity of violent products.

To begin with, citizens who are in favor of reading crime novels and watching TV dramas become more cautious and they tend to avoid any violence. Therefore, crime-related products can be beneficial in terms of making people alert about their surroundings. In addition, many violent readers or viewers have not been victims, that’s why they feel relieved while they are watching a crime scene. Moreover, the number of movie producers with brilliant ideas have been increased which can captivate many people to read their stories.

Personally, I hold the view that crime movies are informative, and people can gain a more accurate understanding of their surroundings. However, violent products can impact dramatically on new generation. In other words, youth will become familiar with a wide range of crimes, and juvenile delinquency is a main drawback of violence-related stuff.

All things considered, although crime novels and TV shows could be considered as an informative source for all walks of life, they could have long-lasting impacts and lead to encouraging the young to become offenders in the long run.

Crime novels and TV crime dramas have become increasingly popular in many countries. This phenomenon can be attributed to several factors, including the innate human curiosity about the darker aspects of society and human nature, the opportunity for escapism, and the intellectual challenge they offer.
Firstly, crime novels and TV crime dramas often delve into the enigmatic world of crime, investigation, and justice. People have an inherent curiosity to understand the motives behind criminal behavior and the intricacies of solving complex cases. These genres allow viewers and readers to vicariously experience the thrill of solving crimes without the real-life risks.
Moreover, these forms of entertainment provide an escape from the mundane routines of everyday life. In a fast-paced world, people seek entertainment that engages their minds and emotions, and crime fiction offers a blend of suspense, mystery, and intellectual challenge. The sense of anticipation in solving a puzzle or uncovering the truth is highly engaging.
Personally, I am a fan of crime fiction and TV crime dramas. They offer an opportunity for intellectual stimulation and emotional engagement. They often explore moral dilemmas and the human psyche, allowing us to reflect on ethical choices and the consequences of our actions. However, it is essential for consumers to strike a balance and not become desensitized to violence or crime, as these genres can sometimes glorify such aspects.
In conclusion, the popularity of crime novels and TV crime dramas can be attributed to our innate curiosity, the desire for escapism, and the mental challenges they offer. While I appreciate their entertainment value and thought-provoking nature, it is crucial to consume them responsibly.
