Candidate’s Response:

These days, there is an unquenchable thirst for travelling to inhospitable terrain and wildlife. While in recent years, these expeditions have increased due to the advance of transportation, they can result in life-threatening issues. In the following essay, I will discover both positives and negatives of these areas.

To begin with, most adventurous individuals are engaged to becoming familiar with less-visited terrains and they have a strong desire to know some unknown species. Moreover, fauna and flora can always captivate all viewers across the globe. For instance, large areas of Amazon Forests are untouched, and humans can view wildlife through flying over the forests which offers not only a breath-taking scenery to all spectaculars, but also developing the humans’ environmental knowledge regarding the less-visited nature.

Turning to other side of the argument, because of the pressure forces on traveler’s body, these expeditions could lead to some threatening issues and deteriorate peoples’ prior health conditions, such as blood pressure. In addition, some wild species can attack the humans as people are trespassing their territory. For instance, the poison of most snakes is lethal and the one who has been bitten could be in danger of death. However, these expeditions have been facilitated with professional and expert tour leaders who knows the areas and could save people’s lives.

To sum up, although there are inherent drawbacks in viewing fierce nature, especially life-threatening ones, I believe it could be more advantageous due to captivating viewers and knowledge development in environmental areas.

In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in tourists choosing to visit challenging and remote destinations like the Sahara Desert or the Antarctic. This trend brings both benefits and disadvantages for these adventurous travelers.
One significant advantage of exploring such extreme environments is the unique and unparalleled experience it offers. Tourists who venture into the Sahara or Antarctic witness breathtaking natural beauty and experience a sense of wonder and adventure that is hard to find elsewhere. These destinations provide an opportunity to connect with nature in its purest form, fostering a deep appreciation for the planet's natural wonders.
Additionally, such journeys often lead to personal growth and self-discovery. Tourists who conquer the challenges of harsh environments develop resilience, adaptability, and a greater sense of self-confidence. They gain a heightened appreciation for their own capabilities and develop a more profound understanding of their limits.
However, there are also disadvantages to visiting these remote regions. The extreme weather conditions and geographic isolation pose significant risks to tourists, including exposure to extreme cold or heat, as well as the potential for getting lost or stranded. These challenges require thorough preparation, and even then, they cannot eliminate all risks.
Moreover, the ecological impact of tourism in these fragile environments is a concern. Increased visitation can disrupt fragile ecosystems and contribute to environmental degradation. Stricter regulations and responsible tourism practices are necessary to mitigate these negative consequences.
In conclusion, tourists who visit challenging and remote places like the Sahara Desert or the Antarctic can benefit from unique experiences, personal growth, and increased self-awareness. However, these adventures also come with inherent risks and the potential for ecological harm. Therefore, responsible and well-prepared exploration of such environments is crucial.
