Candidate’s Response:

Nowadays, sending text is more common in many individuals than talking on phone. There are multiple causes behind this: like it is time saving and cost effective. It will be discussed in the following paragraphs. I believe that texting have more benefits than harms.

Life is running on a very fast pace, today. Everyone is busy in their life. But, gadgets have make people life easier by providing them with different forms of communication. Most of the humans, prefer to contact their family, friends or colleagues by texting them. As, it is convenient and above all it is time saving. To elaborate, in any meeting or any class, one can easily contact other or reply by sending them message rather than talk on phone call, which is time consuming and can be disturbing for others.

Furthermore, texts do not cost much, people can send multiple messages to their sender in the same amount as they spend on one call. For example, in certain jobs you have to contact thousands of people, therefore you cannot call everyone and update them separately. In that case, to send forwarding message is a wise option, which not only save time, but save money as well. However, call is necessary in certain situations like in emergency, it is better to contact directly by call. Similarly, important discussions should be discuss on call which may create misunderstanding on chat.

In conclusion, calls and texts both have advantages, but its weight more toward text as it is cheap and it save time. Though, call is significant during serious crisis and during essential dialogues among professionals.

Feedback:

Thank you indeed for writing this essay. While the overall grammatical structure is clear, there are some instances of grammatical errors and awkward phrasing. Here's an example: "But, gadgets have make people life easier..." — The correct form should be "But, gadgets have made people's lives easier." As for sentence structure, the essay includes some complex sentence structures. However, simplifying certain sentences might enhance clarity, for instance "To elaborate, in any meeting or any class, one can easily contact other or reply by sending them message rather than talk on phone call, which is time-consuming and can be disturbing for others." which can be rewritten as "In meetings or classes, one can easily communicate or respond via text, saving time and avoiding disruptions caused by phone calls." It is also important to put sentences into a paragraph in an organized, hierarchical way to boost clarity.
To know why "time-consuming" is hyphenated, read the following post.

In today's digital age, the shift towards text messaging as a primary means of communication is increasingly evident. This essay delves into the reasons behind this trend and weighs its advantages against potential disadvantages.
One key reason for the prevalence of text messaging over phone calls is convenience. Texting allows individuals to communicate at their own pace, avoiding real-time constraints and the need to engage in lengthy conversations. Moreover, it is a versatile form of communication that can be conducted discreetly in various settings, such as during meetings or in noisy environments. Texting also provides a written record of conversations, which can be valuable for referencing important information or for legal purposes.
Additionally, the rise of social media and messaging apps has made text messaging more appealing. These platforms offer features like multimedia sharing, group chats, and emoji expressions, enhancing the overall communication experience. Texting also enables individuals to reach a broader audience, fostering global connections and facilitating relationships irrespective of physical distances.
However, this trend towards text messaging does have its drawbacks. It can potentially lead to a decline in verbal communication skills, affecting one's ability to engage in face-to-face conversations effectively. Excessive texting may also contribute to increased screen time, leading to health concerns, such as digital eye strain and reduced physical activity. Moreover, the asynchronous nature of texting can sometimes lead to misunderstandings due to the absence of tone and body language cues. There is a reason why many important deals are signed at face-to-face meetings and not over the Internet.
In conclusion, the prevalence of texting over talking on phones can be attributed to its convenience, versatility, and the influence of digital platforms. While it offers numerous advantages in terms of communication, the potential disadvantages include reduced verbal communication skills and health-related concerns. It is essential for individuals to strike a balance and use text messaging as a tool for efficient communication without neglecting the importance of face-to-face interactions.
