    Candidate’s Response:

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you regarding a situation that leads me to miss my flight on June 20, 2021. I feel the urge to bring to your attention the details of this situation. Allow me to elaborate on exactly what happened.

I am a university professor and I was visiting Huston on a one‐day‐trip to give a lecture at the university. On my return flight, I was using the facilities that your airport has provided for resting inside the airport. Unfortunately, the automatic door of the facility got stock and no one could open the door manually. Moreover, there was no telephone or any other facility to inform related authorities to help us with this matter. This resulted in my delay and I missed my flight. As a result, I lost all my next‐day‐classes and since the situation was unexpected, I could not notify the university beforehand.

I trust you can empathize with my situation. I am expecting you to prepare some communication facilities inside different areas in the airport so that in cases of emergency, people can notify the responsible unit. I hope that by taking prompt action, no one would get stock in such situation in the future.

Your timely attention to this matter is needed,

    Sincerely,

    Feedback:

Thank you indeed for writing this letter. The letter is very well presented. All bullet points are addressed and sufficiently developed. There are only few vocabulary/grammar errors that can be easily avoided. There is a slightly more-than-normal use of “and” which might make sentence transition rather repetitive. All in all, the focus should be on limiting the number of errors to get a 7.0 here.

    Dear Sir/Madam
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate incident that occurred during my recent visit to Aliby airport.
On May 12th, I was scheduled to depart on Flight 885D89G to Melbourn. However, an unexpected delay within the airport itself, stemming from security check procedures and long queues, caused me to miss my flight. This delay was beyond my control and resulted in considerable inconvenience.
Missing my flight not only disrupted my travel plans but also incurred additional expenses for rescheduling and accommodation. It caused a great deal of stress and inconvenience for me and my fellow travelers who were similarly affected.
I kindly request that the airport take measures to address such delays and streamline security check procedures to prevent future occurrences of this nature. It is crucial for the airport to prioritize the punctuality and convenience of passengers, as these experiences significantly impact the overall travel experience.
I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and hope that the airport can implement improvements to prevent such delays in the future. Your assistance in this regard would be highly valued. Thank you for your understanding.
    Sincerely,
