Your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure centre that it runs, in order to save money.

Write a letter to the local council. In your letter:

give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre

explain why the centre is important for the local community

describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes

Write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Mr Alex,

I am writing concerning your decision which is related to closing sports and leisure center called Royal Complex which is located on the north of city

Firstly, i would like to take into account that i and my family could use this center in different ways. We could spend our leisure time in there by playing different games like football which could boost our competitive spirit and relationship as a member of teamwork. In addition, we could use the coffee shope of center after the end of work-out, which is a place for relaxation and calmness. Also, if we suffered from overweight, there would be specialists who could aid us loss our excessive weight.

Regarding the importance of leisure center for our local community, i would say that it is the only center which has excellent equipement, and also in terms of location, it is perfect, it means that , as it is located at the outskirt of city, there is not any traffic congestion and this issue is of paramount importance. Because other centers are not as good as this center and they have located in the city center which is busy and is not useful and unable for local community.

In terms of possible effects on local people, if center closes, they will suffer from depression and overweight , because they could ot travel into city center as beforethe regions mentioned. Also, the quality of life will decline. They could not recharge their batteries in the center as before they did.

I will appreciate you yo change your decision.
