    Candidate’s Response:

    Dear Alex

I am writing to you regarding your performance in a concert which was recently held in town.

Firstly, I was very happy after a couple of days of holding concert in which you were professional in line with other singers and accompanying them in group was influential, voice was profound amongst others.

As, I would like to be in a band in which I could play, I wanted to explain about my activities. I was six years old when started learning an instrument the was guitar; then, I went to a school to larn how to sing. Although it was not my interest, I continued my education at university which was related to how to play different instrument especially guitar.

In addition, as you are very famous in your band, and could speak the rest of band to accept me as a new guitarist, I would ask you to pave this way for me, and allow me to show my ability in such a great band. Moreover, I could boost my skill beside other guitarists.

I am looking forward to hearing from you regarding your decision

    best wishes,

    Feedback:

Thank you indeed for writing this letter. The task is only minimally addressed. The rubric instructs us “clearly” to give “details”, i.e., specific dates, school names (fictional names are acceptable), specific references, and even the type of guitar played. There are too many complex sentences that make up a paragraph. In the formal text, one sentence cannot constitute a paragraph all on its own (see the first body paragraph). Uncontrolled complexity may also cause disruption in sentence structures.
