    Candidate’s Response:

    Dear Sir or Madam

I am writing to you concerning an article which I have read about in your magazine on 11 september that it has given wrong information about my city, in terms of population and local language.

First of all, the population of my city is far from the number which you have published in your article, it is about three million people, that is one million people more than what you mentioned. Moreover, the local language is Azari which is rich and well-known in this city, against to what the article has claimed that the local tongue is shirazi and it has been disappeared in recent years.

Also, it is very important for the magazine to impart true and reliable information because the magazine is very famous and has a lot of reviewers throughout the word, in which people could have different insight about culture of people and lead them to misunderstanding about native language and the number of people who peak it. So, it is of significant importance not to underestimate it.

As a result, you should hire knowledgeable staff in your magazine, who are familiar with local people and culture of my city

I will appreciate you to consider these matters in your next article about my city.

    Yours faithfully,

    Feedback:

Thank you indeed for writing this letter. There is a huge difference in meaning between past simple and present perfect simple tenses. In this case, the article was published on a certain day and it was over then and there, so past simple should be our dominant tense.

    Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to address a recent issue I encountered while reading the article about my town in your esteemed magazine. While I appreciate the coverage given to our town, I must point out some inaccuracies in the information presented.
The article states that our town's population is around 100,000. In reality, our town has a population of approximately 70,000, according to the latest census data. This is a significant discrepancy that needs correction to provide readers with accurate information.
It is crucial for your magazine to provide accurate information because it serves as a valuable source of travel-related knowledge for a global audience. Incorrect information can mislead travelers, resulting in misunderstandings and potentially negative experiences. Ensuring accuracy enhances the credibility of your publication and fosters trust among your readers.
To rectify this situation, I kindly suggest publishing a correction or an updated article with the accurate information about our town's population. This will demonstrate your commitment to providing reliable content and maintain the magazine's reputation for accuracy and integrity.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to rectify the inaccuracies and continue to provide valuable and precise information to your readers.
    Sincerely,
    150 words
