The IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) is an official document that provides a detailed record of a test taker’s IELTS results. The TRF includes the following information:
Test taker information: This section includes the test taker’s full name, date of birth, and candidate number.
Test details: This section includes the date and location of the test, the type of test (Academic or General Training), and the test format (paper-based or computer-based).
Test scores: This section shows the test taker’s scores for each of the four sections of the test: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Each score is given as a band score, ranging from 0 to 9.
Overall band score: This section shows the test taker’s overall band score, which is an average of the four section scores.
Test validity: This section indicates the period of time during which the test scores are valid. For most purposes, IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date.
Test report form verification: This section contains a unique verification code that can be used to verify the authenticity of the TRF.
The TRF is an important document that can be used to demonstrate a person’s English language proficiency to academic institutions, employers, and government organizations. It is issued to the test taker and is sent to up to five organizations or institutions designated by the test taker during registration. Additional TRFs can be ordered for a fee.
